rtwood Design came into being through a passion for design and the hospitality industry. Bill Weber, owner of Artwood Design, founded the company in Banff, Alberta in the 1980's. Armed with a degree in hospitality from Cornell University Bill's passion for design lead him to design and build interiors for hotels and restaurants in the Banff and Jasper area, as well as Calgary, Alberta.
Bill's talent for transforming people's aesthetic expressions into form and substance and his passion for design lead to a number of significant contracts, including the night club in the CP Hotel's Chateau Lake Louise and a feature stairway in the Kanaya Hotel, in Nikko, Japan. Bill also designed work now featured in the Post Hotel and the Lake Louise Railway Station--a significant heritage railway station.
Since moving to Victoria, Bill and Artwood Design have continued to complete work for individuals and local, national, and international businesses. Some of Bill's freinds think his work has only gotten better over the last ten years. We look forward to illustrating some of the reasons for his friends' reasoning.
