nce inside the Capilano River Trading Company, customers are greeted with extensive Arts and Crafts woodwork. Although the photo below is dark and hides the detail that went into the design and production of the store, the store's large wood and glass chandelier is visible at the top-centre of the photo. Also visible are some of the many brackets, pillars, and other wood details. At the very back is a stone fireplace set in a more country atmosphere. Please click on the photo or here if you would like to see more.
This photo on the left better shows one of the Capilano River Trading Company's arches, some of the brackets on the side of the store, and the fireplace beckoning customers to the back of the store. The pillars on each side of the store's two arches open to reveal additional storage area.
The photo below shows the fireplace up close. The fireplace has two sides so that customers can feel its warmth from front or back and the woodwork at its base is actually a storage drawer. Another drawer is tucked under the fireplace on the other side.
